I just LOVE that whole concept so much OMG. Like i’m just sitting here screaming internally. I’m having a lot of the same feelings with my reincarnation AU. Mostly with james though.

I just have so many feelings about the life that Thomas left behind and the abruptness with which it ended. I mean – they stole him. He just – disappeared, between one day and the next, his life effectively over, friends left with a shitty explanation that I’m betting at least some of them didn’t buy, house presumably left empty, rumors flying everywhere but none able to be substantiated. Bedlam was open for public visitation, and Thomas wasn’t actually mad, so I have to wonder if he was ever there to begin with, or if his former acquaintances went to visit him there only to find that he was nowhere to be seen. To a modern eye, it would look like a 300-year-old missing persons case, because rumors are rumors and unless there’s documentation, you never, ever take rumor at face value as a historian.

Ugh outlines and research. But it sounds AMAZING. I am so looking forward to it omg.

So am I, tbh! It’s going to be so massively satisfying and heart-rending all at one go because omg does Thomas Hamilton ever have a lot of issues he needs closure on that can only be gotten in London 300 years after his original lifetime.

3: Summarize your current project poorly

Cup of their Deserving: Man screws over best friend and girlfriend, has the nerve to look surprised when girlfriend wrecks his ass. Best friend and girlfriend team up to save the world mostly out of spite with the aid of best friend’s husband and assorted others.

Full of Grace: Local Douchebag wins Horrible Excuse for a Father of the year award, pisses off the wrong two people in the process.

And the Sea With Its Deepness: Man Thought Dead miraculously turns out to be alive. Man’s husband, father, and wife conspire to ruin a perfectly good evil plan while being Very Mad at each other.

post a line from your current project without any context

CotD:
“Governor Rogers,” he greets. “Oh good. Everyone I want to shout at in one place.”

Full of Grace:
“I’ll start negotiations with the rats immediately.”

And the Sea With Its Deepness:

“All the things I have done to make this possible. All the people I have
failed -” He shakes his head. “I can’t let it all mean nothing,” he
says, opening his eyes again to look at Hennessey.

would you want to live in the world of your current work?
Oh hell no. there isn’t enough money in the world for me to willingly go live in a world where I would neither be taken seriously or be actually able to stay healthy given the distinct lack of the meds that keep me from living a short, unpleasant life. My best bet would be to pull an Anne Bonny and make everyone afraid to fuck with me and I’ve done that once. It wasn’t a good time.

Ok words words words, uhm: “hands”, “love”, “hair”?

ooooh, you are evil! Do you know how many times I use the word hands in… basically everything? They’re so expressive, I can’t help it. Here’s one:

“Jack stands, chest heaving, hands clenched at his sides – to all appearances a man pushed over the very brink of his endurance, and now advancing on Charles in turn, looming as only a tall man can over a shorter one.”

(I swear, they’re arguing, not getting ready to fuck, even though I’m definitely here for that pairing)

Love:

Christ, James thinks, if he didn’t love this man already, he would as of right here, right now.

Hair (alright you fiend – here’s a sentence from the upcoming epilogue of FoG!):

He is standing at the railing, his blond hair ruffled by the wind, looking for all the world as if he has never known greater joy than at this moment.
