i think it takes a while to show up, I’ve had issues with that too
yeah, fortunately it’s showing now, I’ve just never had it take quite that long before.

ha! with my coworkers it’s always, “idk, where do you want to go? idk, you decide!” we should have dice for picking a lunch spot, it’s ridiculous. too many women in the office who have been taught their opinion doesn’t matter.

Honestly, SO MANY problems could be solved. Assuming this happened mid-late S1, They’d probably get the Urca Gold (alternatively imagine Anne and Flint taking the fucking warship omg, then LATER getting the gold before the Vane+Fort stuff), Miranda would be alive, billy would never turn to the dark side, Anne would probably be out scouting for spies and hear about the plantation… (oops I’ve entered crazy AU scheming mode)
ha – that’s ok, I’ve totally been wanting to do a thing where Gates survives Season 1 by other means but if you think I’ve got the time to write it… yeah no, not right now. Also, I’m so here for Team Murderous Gingers taking the warship together.
maybe that’s how it happens, Anne decides to join flint’s crew and Jack gets dragged along, meanwhile Vane’s all “Hey, you took my quartermaster and my best fighter, I’m taking YOUR quartermaster” and gates is just SO DONE that he’s fine with it
And then Billy would come back and find that Gates had switched crews but was alive so that’s another problem solved.
I’ve screamed about this idea to anyone and everyone who would listen, but Anne being Flint’s quartermaster is my life. Anne calling him out on shit but also ready to stab anyone else who does before they can even finish the sentence. (In fact I have an au in which this happens if I can ever finish it and Jack is just absolutely done “you’re teaming up with /him/?” “what it’s not like i need your fucking permission”)

Ok but Jack and Gates switching places means that Anne will probably be switching along with Jack so then he has to put up with two gay murder carrots who will probably team up at some point. Jack is going to be soooo done. This is a thing that needs to happen.
Right? In fact, now that I think about it, Anne would be Flint’s quartermaster and Jack would be HER tag-along.

AAaaaaah I love this! I’ve been having a lot of Thomas feelings lately and I love this take on him, finally feeling alive after finding James again and being and being absolutely angry at everything others have done to him and James (and Miranda)
Thank you! I just can’t see Thomas hearing what has happened to James and to Miranda and not being really, truly furious about all of it. He’s definitely not without the capacity for anger, and I think that eleven years of being imprisoned have probably had a rather large effect on him and his willingness to forgive – especially when it comes to wrongs done to the people he loves. Also I will never be over how he looks like he’s just remembered how to breathe when he realizes that James is actually there and he’s not imagining him.
