Any time, Shiro!
lmaaao this is accurate except half the time I cheer them on as they torment me!
Well, of course there’s a fair amount of that going on too!
replied to your post:
“Uggghhhh. I have to go adult after work today. I have to go adult…”

*sends virtual hugs and blankets*
*Wraps up in blankets and reciprocates the hug* Thanks. I fully intend to spend at least part of tonight having a cup of tea if I can’t manage a nap. The car trouble causing the adulting can bite me.
what do we actually know about her mother’s death? the pirates attacked their ship, but when was it? I’m trying to make sense of when Peter became the Governor of the Carolinas and am Confused.
What if the woman traveling with Alfred Hamilton was Ashe’s wife? Traveling aboard the same ship because they were headed the same way? What does the show actually say about Alfred’s death? Does it even mention the poor woman he was with? I mean – if that was the case – holy shit no wonder Ashe hated Flint so much. Wasn’t the Maria Aleyne headed for the Carolinas?
so you think they meant this one? lmao so Flint stole Granny’s surgeon!
No wonder Granny didn’t like him!
team cynics vs team poodle babblers
ROFL – yes! Culminating in all four of them sitting around laughing until they can’t anymore.
lmao angry poodle – flint has a type. imagine silver and thomas posing together with the angry poodle look/parroting smth flint said and flint headdesking
ROFL Yes. The hours of endless amusement to be had in parroting some of James’ sillier expressions and watching him headdesk and then stop being able to be mad because they’re just too ridiculous
That – that is brilliant. All of the above. Hennessy and bb!James and how James learned to ride a horse from him (because how the **** else does a fisherman’s grandson learn to ride, especially if he’s a Navy officer, not a cavalry officer? It’s not like horses were cheap). Young James spending time at Hennessy’s estate, basically Hennessy’s ward after his grandfather died and before he was old enough to be living on his own when on furlough (young midshipman age, for example). Slightly older but still not out of his teens James and the time he absolutely flipped the fuck out on a fellow midshipman who implied that Hennessy was keeping James around because he was pretty, not because he deserved to have anyone give a shit about him.
Also, that fake out is amazing.
And the mental images are a foregone conclusion. I started getting them right about the time that you said prison scene, hence I am no help at all when it comes to the willpower not to write this.
WAIT BUT IT GETS BETTER!
while Team Miranda is plotting, Flint is carried off to England, instead of Eleanor in s2 (bc she kinda took his place in canon!) Team Miranda is too late!
cut to the cell with Flint, enter Admiral Hennessey like TIMES HAVE CHANGED COME BACK SON I WILL FORGIVE EVERYTHING have a pardon/privateering commission (acts like he doesn’t know who offed Alfred).
Flint: fuck you, the Navy was never my home thx bye *escapes*
THEN he finds Thomas (idk amnesiac in the countryside bc I can’t handle laudanum addict Thomas aus) and happy reunion tears OH SHIT MIRANDA
they come to Boston first, Miranda is not there AWW HELL
back to Nassau, they arrive in panic. Meanwhile, Miranda…. has united everyone under FUCK YOU ENGLAND banners, using Flint as a symbol of how England can creep in and fuck you up. Eleanor wants to throw her off the cliff but like, works together. idk about Granny and Dufresne, they also plot. The gold has been delivered into the fort ofc. so like Miranda & Silver (who are probably lovers by then) have achieved in a couple of months what Flint has failed to do for a DECADE HELLO
Flint: … shit I knew I should have been the stay at home one. MIRANDA HAVE A THOMAS
Or, if one wanted to go for Hennessy getting his head out of his ass entirely, one could go for him trying to offer Flint a pardon/commission, being rejected, and coming out of the cell, only to nod at someone sadly, hopes somewhat dashed, as if to say, “you were right, he’s not willing to listen to me, let’s try it your way.” Cut back to Flint, who is sitting in the cell being broody, then the door opening to reveal the person Hennessy nodded at – Thomas, who has been pulled out of Bedlam by Hennessy (too little too late but I’d like to think he’s had ten years to really, sincerely regret what he’s done. Heck, maybe James’ capture was enough impetus for him to look into Thomas just to find out what happened to the man he condemned to Bedlam and discover that he’s actually still alive). Hennessy’s letting them go, since that’s all he can do for James at this point. They proceed to return to Nassau for the above mentioned reunion with Miranda.
As for Dufresne and Granny – you know, I’m honestly not sure how Granny would react if Gates were still alive and Flint were gone. For all I know he would be content if someone just handed him his wretched chair back and gave him a vote in whatever war council Miranda and Silver would have pulled together by then. Dufresne would still be a part of the Walrus crew, too, since there would have been no mutiny against Flint that Dufresne would have been a part of as of the Andromache fight. Then there’s the question of what Vane would do if literally everything suddenly swung his way, with absolutely no one seriously proposing reconciliation with England.
I’M LOVING THIS SO FAR!
agreed re: Hennessey, it’s simple and elegant and not done before 😀

Flint that Dufresne would have been a part of as of the Andromache
fight.also true
oh my god. I – could see that, oh so easily. All they’d really have to do is convince Gates that it’s not a suicide mission to go after him once they find out where he’s being held, and for that, they’d need Billy’s help, which Silver would know but Miranda wouldn’t unless he tells her. Silver and Miranda together is a truly terrifying thought. No one would be able to refuse them, because what one didn’t think of the other would, much like him and Flint. And then you re-add Flint back into the mix after he escapes/is rescued and oh gods. The British never stood a chance (provided of course that he can see his way to working with Silver, which shouldn’t be that hard because the man will have just helped save his life). *Cackles alarmingly*
Then there’s the question of what Vane would do if literally
everything suddenly swung his way, with absolutely no one seriously
proposing reconciliation with England.yeah, I wonder about him, Eleanor AND Eleanor’s Dad. (Also Mr. Scott, what is he up to.)
like, Vane would respect Miranda, I think. Not Silver, but Miranda definitely. He’d also ofc try to poach the men from Walrus, so there’d still be a lot of squabbling, but assuming they split the gold and Miranda and Silver hold him in check (by plotting with Jack), he is actually calmer bc Flint is not there and he doesn’t feel the driving need to prove himself??? like fucking up Flint is 100 % his early motivation tbh. smb explains to him earlier than the Navy is the real problem and he’d get on board probably
Eleanor just wants to keep the island running and end the fuckign chaos, with herself in charge. Miranda and Silver’s way seems to be the way, but then Spain will catch on.
Richard Guthrie tries to sway Eleanor to his own plotting camp (telling everyone about Miranda’s background like it’s gonna ruin her chances???)
but Flint’s return will throw everything into confusion before anyone else is sold out, I think
Oh man, imagine the irony of James, Silver, and Miranda and the rest of Nassau holding off a Spanish attack on Nassau and England having to acknowledge them as allies for keeping the Spanish out of Jamaica. Imagine Miranda as the new ruler of Nassau and James in the role he outlines in 2×09, eventually happily retired as something approaching an advisor with Thomas becoming a sort of go between for all the factions on the island as the only person no one is willing to harm, with Silver as a kind of spymaster. And furthermore imagine James and Hennessy meeting again and finally getting to bury the hatchet and speak to each other as friends if not the almost family they once were.
