#has anyone written meta about reading ‘captain flint’ as miranda and james collectively #because we get this and we get the whole True Partners thing and we get the idea that she MADE him #even at this point there’s a certain element of balance to the idea #which i think is lost after charlestown #and that’s part of why he sort of drowns in the persona #the ‘monster’ borne of their rage and grief is too much for one person alone to hold up #even with the two of them it obviously fucks them up (via keensers)
