I just need to keep reblogging this because I cannot even begin to tell you how profound a feeling of YES and THIS and THERE IS A WORD FOR ME OMG I get every time I see this, and I hope it helps others too.
seriously, anytime you see a post with a comment saying “theres a name for it?!” reblog that post because even if it doesnt apply to you any of your followers could be waiting for that revelation.

I feel like I missed my window to do stupid teenager things and stay out all night and jumped straight to being a 55 year old woman who would rather stay home watching tv and falling asleep at 8pm
While Writing: I’m so creative right now, it’s like all the normal constraints have been lifted. Wow I wrote 2,000 words in 30 minutes! This is going to be great.
Rereading the Next Day: I used the word ‘Beautiful’ 8 times in this sentence and instead of ‘reassuring’ I wrote ‘refrigerator.’ Also the tenses switched 3 times in one paragraph and I started writing about a character who isn’t even in this story.

tfw you’re writing and a character says something you didn’t expect them to say and it sort of opens up a new plot point you’re going to have to resolve now by the end of the fic
