#captain flint#black sails#blacksailsedit#james flint#my stuff#listen#i have#NEVER#in my life#hated a character#as much as i hate alfred hamilton#i was watching 205 and right before this scene came on i legit took a 2 hour break to find courage and strength to go through it#and when i finally did it was by far the worst experience yet#i swear with every rewatch his expression turns more wounded and anguished.. and in return i suffer more than before#he just STANDS THERE as they hurl unjustified hatred and accusations at him.. tearing his whole world apart and letting it drop down on him#until it becomes so much that he just tunes them out.. their voices a distant noise as he all but hyperventilates with shock and fear#just like that they took everything from him. ruined his life#the man he saw as a god damn FATHER FIGURE betrayed him as if he meant nothing.. discharged him and called it mercy#all that .. because he loved a man. because they wanted to do the right thing. the GOOD thing.. i mean#[laughs hysterically… cries]#hate often breeds hate.. that’s fact.. and flint taking his revenge on the world is as terrible as it is understandable#but i’ll be damned if i dont support and cheer him on every time he tears england a new one#that face above.. thomas’ pain and miranda’s undeserved misery are reasons enough for me to look past flint’s sins without much thought#[yells]#AND DONT EVEN START ME ON THAT LINE AND WHAT IT MEANS

– immortal. existed for over half a century before anybody thought about making movies. will keep existing after people forget them.

– full of nerds. hardcore nerds who do good research. A+

– full of nerds. like actual climatologists and geologists. official nerds who publish in official journals about speculative science in a fantasy world. 

– high chance they will read your fanfic/meta. Tolkien is not an easy read and they probably have the patience/skills to get through your writing easy

– what is canon? we just don’t know

– appreciates my excessive collection of nature photos. Mostly trees and mountains.

– likes shiny things
