Lol at the last one. My friend keeps recommending Ripper Street to me, and it is on my list, but do you like it?

It’s no Black Sails but it’s interesting. I haven’t developed a burning hatred for any of the male characters that I’m supposed to like yet, although they’ve all got their issues, and the female characters have each got their own thing going on. It passes the Bechdel Test, at least. It’s gritty and grimdark in a lot of places, but it also handles some sensitive issues surprisingly well, although the cast could have done with some diversifying and while there isn’t a complete lack of LGBTQ+ rep, it’s not great, either.

*hugs* thank you. I feel like I’m really not taking his side of things into account the way I should but this isn’t the first time he’s done this, either, and it hurts a little bit more every time because he just… cuts and runs when it suits him and leaves me holding the shit sack every time, then wants to know why I’m angry and hurt, and he’s just going to do that again here. Like – on the surface of it, I get why he does this, but it doesn’t make it any less selfish on his part.

*hugs* thanks. I love the person to bits, we’ve known each other since we were 5, but I won’t deny I’ve spent a good portion of that time wishing my parents could have kept their shit together the way hers did so that I could have half the freedom she currently does to just…. go where she wants and take risks and not have other people’s safety riding on those risks not blowing up in her face.

1. Scrolling through Tumblr. Let’s be real – this blue hell owns my soul.

2. Writing. Writing emails, writing fic, typing and typing and typing and typing. I am going to have carpal tunnel sooooooooo bad when I get older.

3. Singing. I used to be in choir and I really sort of miss it, actually, so I spend a lot of time singing along with the music at home and in the car.

Answering the phone. I joke at home that I charge 15/hour for doing it and I spend my work day doing so pretty much nonstop.

5. Talking to my cats. I tell them how cute they are. I tell them how stupid humans are. I tell them that they’re intelligent and brave and precious and that I need to get into that freezer and oh it’s alright I’m just taking the trash out to the curb, you’ve seen me do it once a week since you were a kitten, and um, can I please come down these stairs? and thank you for not swatting my foot when I don’t have shoes on, that’s very considerate and Watson! I’m totally good with his first name being Admiral (As in “his name is Agent), but I actually did give him a first name that starts with A in my fics! Also, if my legacy to this fandom is redeemed Admiral Hennessey, I’m pleased with it.
