au where Hennessy realises how wrong he was & wants to try and make amends with Flint so at some point (probably after he hears abt Charlestown, so s3) he travels to Nassau to try and tell James the truth about Thomas, but he gets intercepted by Vane or Teach or someone & he demands to be taken to captain Flint and it’s down to whether or not James finds out & decides to go find out why he’s come to Nassau, or just lets him die/kills him before he can get the chance to tell him the truth

Would love to see a Black Sails fanfiction that involves Captain Jack Aubrey and Captain Fredrick Wentworth (they live in a different era I know, but still…) Then James could have some one as a brother figure in the navy and who truly cares about him, Thomas would have a family member who understands him(since Fredrick is the spit image of Thomas, they have to be linked, maybe on the mother’s side, somehow…) though these two were away on duty when the tragedy happened but when they returned, they would try their best to save their brothers!

Don’t be sorry! – I was the one to think of a Thomas Amnesia au, but the Miranda Amnesia au is the angsty brainchild of @flintsredhair
@captainqueer-oflesbos – yes, I’m thinking the bullet does some small amount of damage – just enough to make it look like she’s dead bc hello head wound and unconscious and no one thinks to check for a pulse. She wakes up during the burning of Charles Town, manages to stumble her way out of danger, and gets taken out of the city maybe by someone who’s trying to get out in a wagon or something – someone who wasn’t at the trial, just someone ordinary, and then realizes that she has no freaking clue who she is or where she’s been or anything. She spends however long trying to piece together some kind of life and remembers vaguely that she had some intention of going to Boston although she can’t recall why, so naturally that’s where she goes to see if she remembers something once she’s there.
Meanwhile, James finds Thomas (no amnesia there) and they move North for Reasons (feel free to make up those reasons!) Cue the completely accidental reunion with a Miranda who’s just relieved that someone knows who she is.
@flintsredhair – it’s on. i see your Miranda amnesia AU and raise you this: au where Thomas and James are both taken to Bethlem Royal Hospital and Miranda saves them (or not, depending on how angsty you wanna go)
