okay but i literally did exactly that today. i reread every single comment ever posted to haunted (both ff and ao3) before i sat down to write.

Yes you have, and I cannot possibly express how much I appreciate that and how far it goes in keeping me writing and coming up with new fic ideas. Comments = happy motivated authors. It can’t be said too often.

It got me thinking more about her books, how they might have come to the island, sent to her by Mr Scott, or brought there by others, and then there were a lot of Thoughts, and it kind of went from there, so… little musings/ficlet(?) thing(?) below

I love that Idelle, a character introduced as basically “background prostitute” in episode 1, goes on to be a major supporting character, gets one of the most iconic speeches in the entire show and becomes one of the people ruling Nassau in the end. That alone is enough to make any comparison to game of thrones complete bullshit, like, sex workers get to be actual humans… with personalities. Who don’t die in creepy sexualized ways.
