a few weeks back i looked up the source of “we deserve a soft epilogue, my love” because it’s such a lovely, evocative line and i wanted to know the name of the poet who wrote it and it was. from captain america fanfiction.

“in whatever manner it comes to be, love is never wrong, especially between one who has so much of it to give, and one so desperately in need of it” is from a naruto fanfic we’re living in a web of lies

gosh it’s almost like fanfiction writers devote endless hours to their craft with zero chance at a profit, because we love what we do and we love our characters and canons even if you think it’s “””cringey”””

it’s almost like with all the time and effort we devote to our craft we get, I dunno, pretty good at it sometimes

it’s almost like fanfiction is a legitimate art form that provokes emotional reactions, and fanfiction writers are artists who work hard to create the best possible art they can, driven by passion and love

it’s almost like that, isn’t it

RIGHT?!
