So, I keep seeing a bunch of my mutuals that like Dishonored, Lord of the Rings, Dragon Age, and Killjoys, and… y’all know you can talk to me about those, right? Like – I love all four of those things, and I’m always, always up to geek out about Middle Earth especially. Just no spoilers about Death of the Outsider, please – I haven’t finished it yet.

Oh my God! 😀 I have been introducing the world of Tolkien to my 6 yr old and she has latched on to LoTR and she thinks Sam is the bravest and Gandalf makes her dreams safe. This is the first time in 3 years – since my mom passed away – that I have revisited LoTR and all those passages about the passing of time, that scene where Gandalf talks about death with Pippin and thinking about Legolas and Elrond surviving Aragorn, Arwen, Merry, Pippin, Eomer and others has been quite a spiritual experience.

In short, I’m back in Middle Earth and I have feelings…

you know, the older I get, the more I appreciate quotes from both the movies and the books for LotR. I remember latching onto them back when the movies came out and let me tell you, it’s been 17 years and I still love Middle Earth so, so much. there’s just such depth there and such feeling. Also, I’m a massive language nerd and I’m absolutely in love with the sound of spoken Sindarin – it’s beautiful.
