misc. thoughts: I love her. I love the way she uses knowledge as a weapon. I love that she does research. I love the way she combines Flint’s surety of purpose with Silver’s ability to win loyalty. I love that she takes her time coming to trust Flint and that once she’s given that trust, it’s hard to shake. I love that she put together just how long Silver was planning the whole thing and took it personally. I love that she argued with her mother about the way to go forward and that she understood her role in the world to come. I love that she’s an idealist and a community builder, that she understands systems of power. I love that she got to be afraid and stand up despite that fear, that she is a princess and a pirate, that she got to be rescued, that she got to be loved, that Flint says she’s the best of them. I love that she gets to be angry and that her anger is treated as valid. I just. I love her a lot and I want her to be happy.
