we decided that the 1700s equivalent of angry tweeting would be thus:

flint sends two burning ships to london’s shores with huge banners that only go up in flames when enough people have seen them. 

the first says GET the other says FUCKED 

redcoat #1 “fucked get? what does that mean–” 
redcoat #2 “for god’s sake william, it’s GET FUCKED”
