in charlestown, miranda gets shot and still falls but doesn’t die (maybe she gets shot in the chest? or in the back or something?), everything gets very chaotic though, and in the mess Flint doesn’t know she’s still alive. Peter calls in a doctor and everything because he doesn’t want her dead and probably the trial gets postponed a few days. Either way, Peter escorts Abigail and Miranda to Savannah. 

And what he’s done, because I suspect that Peter Ashe has an MO when it comes to dealing with people, is that he’s sent her to some puritan widow who has a reputation for dealing with difficult girls as an indentured servant. it gets her out of the way and maybe this woman can help Miranda get over her fury and maybe also help Miranda deal with the whole thing where she clearly has some kind of moral deficiency – murder, taking up with a pirate/her lover, the string of lovers in London, sleeping with his wife, perhaps there was something to the Alfred’s irate assertion that she was deliberately not having children ,hysteria? – that has led her astray. He wants to help! he is. he is going to help. and then when she’s calmed down the way thomas calmed down, once they remember how to be and forget abotu being reckless and wild he can get her forgiveness and maybe reunite them.
