just to confirm, modern au thomas would not wait for alfred to storm out before kissing james

“I cannot condone this. You’ve had your flights of fancy, your indulgences, and now it is time for them to stop. Thomas if you do not remove this man from your life I will.”

Alfred Hamilton, in all his ugliness and intolerance, was a dark cloud of despair and Thomas would take it no longer. With a glance at his wife, a shared nod, he stood and walked to James’ side. He touched James’ cheek, smiled, and kissed him with all the passion he could muster.

James melted into him as he knew he would. They kissed and kissed and kissed, tasting one another and grasping at each other’s shoulders. Thomas delighted in the disgusted sound that came from his father and simply kissed James deeper.

When they parted, lips red and flushes on their cheeks, he turned to Alfred and tipped his chin up.

“Get out of my house. Get out of my life and never show your face in my presence again. You are not welcome here and never will be.”

Alfred huffed and left in stunned silence.

Miranda applauded as the door close and laughed, jumping up to kiss them both.

“Thomas that was- that was beautiful,” she said with bright eyes, clasping his hands.

Thomas fell into the nearest seat. “Shit that was terrifying.”

James climbed into his lap. “And the sexiest thing I’ve ever seen. If you don’t kiss me again I’ll never forgive you.”

How could he say no to that?
