you know what i really, truly love about this finale? it’s not an ending – it’s a beginning. for Nassau, for Rackham and Bonny and Read, for Max, for Featherstone and Idelle, for all the endgame ships (James/Thomas, Max/Anne and Silver/Madi), this is not a story ending. it’s a new, better, more hopeful story beginning, and I think that’s why this finale touches all of us so deeply. because the best happy ending is just a beginning for another, happier story.
