Even if they didn’t know immediately several actors were to quick to point it out: THEY knew we’d not brush that aside so easily, that it’d have us all reacting emotionally. (Plus Toby Stephens said no spoilers when asked about it and if Thomas was dead like we’ve been told why would he do that to us? Knowing that we’d immediately take that as a maybe, if not a yes).

And it would come back around so nice narratively. Flint started the war because Thomas was taken from him, and I have to believe that his non-answer to Silver is telling, because yes, I think he would give it up if he found out Thomas was alive and needed him, even if Thomas wouldn’t necessarily want him to.

I feel like Thomas is the only reason Flint would ever walk away. I don’t care if he lost the support of every single pirate and Maroon, they all abandoned him and stole his ships, he wouldn’t stop fighting. If it was just him alone with a dull pocketknife trying to saw Rogers’ head off, he’d force them to kill him before he’d walk away normally. Unless Thomas. Thomas he would go after.

I’m so glad at least some of us (most of us now?) have no problem whatsoever with Thomas being alive, because I can remember not terribly long ago (into season 3) a lot of people were agreeing with the idea that James finding Thomas alive would be too great a shock to him and would break him and that it would be too hard for them to pick up the pieces, etc.

I have to say it was hard to imagine it because James was still totally Flint BUT

Now I have to disagree with most of that because James is no longer full Captain Flint and he’s McFlint like Char said and I’m still so overwhelmed and I love all of you. <333

Thomas being alive is my jam and always has been. LOL! I don’t care what anyone else says, if that happens I will give the finale a 12/10 even if every other character dies in a volcano eruption in the middle of Nassau square. I don’t care if Santa Claus pulls up in his sleigh and Thomas hops out, it’s perfect to me. I’ve always felt that Thomas being alive would help him, not destroy him. And even more so now that he’s find this balance between the Flint and McGraw in him (yay, McFlint!).

Lol! It’s been both our jams, and why do you do this to me when I’m drinking? Thomas isn’t jolly enough around the waist to be Santa, but I have no problem with James jingling his bells on a rooftop. xDDD

omg Laura it’s a good thing I wasn’t drinking anything when I read that last!
