In the ongoing struggle of the “is Thomas actually alive” puzzle, I have always wondered about this:

This is Rupert and his wife at the 2016 Audi Polo Challenge. This was at the end of May, which is when s4 would have concluded filming. The Strain’s s3 filming wrapped up in April 2016 so no (apparent) conflict.

But the reason this makes me go ?????? The beard. Rupert rarely wears a beard. Like… ever. Go google him. He wears a little scruff at most. Maybe he just decided he wanted a beard. Or…. maybe Thomas is a prisoner at a camp where he wouldn’t be clean shaven….
