- I went my entire childhood without doing so many things

- we had no health insurance so I had to grow out of the impulse to do stupid shit really early
- working for some jackass who's never had to really struggle for anything in his life
- you grow up poor you don't have the luxury of thinking you're either important or in any way invincible
- you just get the grinding certainty that you're going to grow up and have a job you hate
- you're meant to have time to experiment and grow and do dumb things to learn
