Tumblr:

You write something in an hour. You think it’s a bit shit. You drown in glorious feedback for weeks. You fret over something for weeks and/or months. You plan it to within an inch of its life. It gets 3 likes, one of which is probably from your mom.

Ao3:

No matter what you write, the same twelve people leave kudos on every fic. You get two comments on the one that tumblr loved. You get three on the one tumblr hated.

Follow, they click. ‘Write more’, they say. The fic was completed in 2009. Somebody leaves a review just to call you a bitch. You drift gently into the twilight zone, crying softly.

Bringing this back because it got 300 notes in two days. The struggle is real.
