My blog is an utter mess—full of soppy Dan Smith fangirling and the
dumbest of memes. And dogs. All the dogs.>>> oh don’t worry!
Dogs are awesome, and this way I actually see it when you reply to my
dumb rambling bc Tumblr has decided not to always let me see it when I’m
tagged. Also, James/Miranda kills me every time. You keep expecting him
to do something dumb and/or turn on her and it never happens. It’s one
of the reasons I love him as a character.

Your dumb rambling? What dumb rambling of yours? I have heard 0 dumb rambling from you. From me on the other hand… that’s pretty much most of what I offer lol. Ugh I feel that issue about Tumblr not alerting you to being tagged though, that’s happened to me before too (get your shit together staff).

James/Miranda kills me too. They’re so devoted to each other and it’s so beautiful (my eyes just started to sting 😢. Look what this show has done to me). Like after she talked to Guthrie and sent that letter that Billy found.. yeah they fought (God that scene when he talks about how intolerable a sacrifice it would be to apologize for what wasn’t wrong.. his vulnerability in that scene… 😭 speaking of things that kill me and my heart 💔), but it didn’t destroy or really even hurt there relationship after that bump. (And the fact that he brought her that book, the same author of the one she gave him back in London, “one of [her] favorites” ahh). And after they’re in the tavern and James says he regrets listening to her, and they have that spat, and she kind of saves him and he thanks her 💗

Also… I just finished 2×09/XVII and UM…

*Hugs* Oh darling, I am so sorry. That scene is brutal and to be watching it while on a treadmill – well, I’d have hit the floor and be missing several teeth, I suspect.

I was so fucking proud of her. I loved her before, but I loved her so much in that moment. – I think that’s the moment that I really, really started to trust her instead of just like her as a character. I had had my doubts (side-effect of the show, I’m afraid – you start to distrust everyone a little, or at least I do), but that’s the point where I really got who she was and what she was about and how far she was willing to go to protect her men. I really, really wish we had gotten to have her there for Season 3 – she would have had a really interesting character arc, I suspect, which is something I’m having fun figuring out/writing in To the Upper Air.

On the good side of things – you are now cleared for the following fix-it fics, no spoilers to be had. Happy reading!

They That Sow the Wind – this is a shameless self-plug for a canon-divergent fix-it. You know about Ashe, now, so there shouldn’t be anything spoilery!

Wars Without Weapons – also canon divergent, by the very awesome @shirogiku, and there should be exactly nothing spoilery present. You’ll want to read the sequel, Thomas the Mariner.

Never a Smooth Sailing – Also canon divergent as of the late end of Season 1. The sequel, Witch Queen of Nassau, is to fix your broken Miranda-loving heart. This series by the same author is also amazing and fixes Miranda’s death.

That should be enough to get you started!

And yes – Billy has a point, but really, seriously, Billy – either get behind the man or don’t, but choose one!
