Black Sails + pirate enslavement/ torture

In response to criticism from this post, where I used part of Maya Angelou’s “I know why the caged bird” sings poem. In the context of the show, it’s implied that pirates were treated just as badly as blacks were by “civilized society.” I think Billy sums it up perfectly here.
