“waa–”“Sorry; I will break my cat’s heart if I get up” should be a valid excuse for missing work / school / appointments.
Mine looked at me like he was insulted this morning as he came running in from the field looking like he’d just realized he was going to miss his train. I was a couple of minutes early coming out to my car, and he normally is on the porch by the time I come out so that he can get in my way and demand his due amount of petting. He’s really going to be insulted when I’m a little late coming in tonight.
