Recently found my old notes from my first playthrough of Dragon Age: Origins. The funniest ones were these:

There is a bear on the battlefield

Blood mages are officially scary

Never, ever go somewhere new looking for a quick, easy mission

Shortly followed by:

The mission about the maleficarum in the deserted building is so not worth the hassle (I’m guessing I was having a bad time of it)

There is no such thing as too much frozen lightning, distillation agent, or elfroot

There is also no such thing as only one deepstalker

If you can hear it, it is probably around the next corner

There is no point in picking fights with dragons

Enemy mages can always do fireball

Dwarven tunnels are oppressively ugly (gee, can we say had enough of the Deep Roads?)

The Fade Beast is good for 75 sovereigns if you play it right. Or you can try to fight it. Your choice.
