If you live in these states you vote on 1 March 2016!

I’ve already voted. The rest of you, please fucking vote. Youth turnout has been appalling and this is an incredible important election. So much is at stake. Cracking down on police brutality, abortion rights, solving the student debt crisis, taking steps to combat global climate change, raising the minimum wage, ending the war on drugs and mass incarceration, bringing access to healthcare for everyone, holding Wall Street and corporations accountable for their criminal behavior, and so much more is on the line not just in picking a president but in picking members of Congress.

Do not skip voting and then complain when you watch Donald Trump get sworn in. Do not skip voting and then complain when people like Ted Cruz take the House and Senate and obstruct justice.

I know you’re feeling apathetic. I know in many states they pull dirty tricks like eliminating early voting or not letting people off of work, they’ve been doing this for a long time now because they know they can’t win if too many young people and working class people and women and minorities show up. I don’t blame those who have tried to vote this year and were completely fucked over by our corrupt political system. But we all need to try.

I know too that you don’t think Bernie Sanders can do anything in office if he were to win. So many people have told me that. Maybe it’s true. But right now we need a president who will tell the truth, who will at least set the precedent that if you want to govern this country, you need to step up to bat for ordinary people. We need someone who will at least TRY.

But whoever is your candidate, please go out and vote.
